The Chiron reaches 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 2.3 seconds. Profilée is one of the quickest-accelerating production cars ever. Recently Bugatti revealed a pair of bespoke Chiron Super Sports commissioned by a Tennessee couple to celebrate their shared passion for Bugatti. Some of the cars we would love to see in person, let's see yours.

Then who's Luis Chiron! He was a racing driver who competed in rallies, sports car races, and Grands Prix. As of 2023 he is the only Monegasque driver to have won the Monaco Grand Prix. Born as Louis Alexandre Chiron on 3 August 1899 in Monte Carlo, Monaco and died on 22 June 1979 (aged 79) in Monte Carlo, Monaco. His Grand Prix wins are not just limited to being a 3 time Czechoslovakian Grand Prix winner or the French Grand Prix winner on 5 occasions or his 3 Spanish Grand Prix titles; there are many more. And he is still the oldest driver ever to have finished in Formula One, having taken 6th place in the 1955 Monaco Grand Prix when he was 55.

As the Bugatti Chiron it's named after the Monégasque driver. The car also shares the name with the 1999 Bugatti 18/3 Chiron concept car. Designed and developed in Germany by Bugatti Engineering GmbH and manufactured in Molsheim, France, by French automobile manufacturer Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. filling in as the successor to the Bugatti Veyron. Bugatti Chiron carries the 7,993 cc (8.0 L; 487.8 cu in) quad-turbocharged W16 engine from the Bugatti Veyron, with the improvements being the 221 kW (296 hp; 300 PS) in the Chiron. The Chiron can accelerate from 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 2.4 seconds according to the manufacturer, 0–200 km/h (0–124 mph) in 6.5 seconds and 0–300 km/h (0–186 mph) in 13.6 seconds. In a world-record-setting test at the time in 2017, the Chiron reached 400 km/h (249 mph) in 32.6 seconds, after which it needed 9.4 seconds to brake to standstill. Bugatti Chiron has a total production of 500 units made since 2016 with the -

  • The track focused version of the Bugatti Chiron, named the Chiron Sport. Mechanically the car is identical to the regular version, generating 1,500 PS (1,105 kW; 1,480 hp)

  • The 110 Ans Bugatti is a limited edition variant of the Chiron Sport developed to celebrate 110 years of Bugatti.

  • Bugatti Chiron Noire, celebrating the 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Coupé Aero No. 57453 (also known as "La Voiture Noire").

  • Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, a handling-focused model limited to 60 units. The tachometer has an additional 200 rpm, increasing the redline to 6,900 rpm.

  • The €2.88 million (or just under R60 million) "Les Légendes du Ciel" Chiron is a 20 units limited edition version of the Chiron Sport developed to celebrate Bugatti's racing drivers that flew in the French Air Force.

  • Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, only about 70–80 were built, with a unit price of €3.2 million (or just over R60 million each). Bugatti redesigned the wheels and got some paint finish instead of just carbon fiber. It comes with four driving modes: EB (standard), Handling, Autobahn and Top Speed.. It has a power output limited to 440 km/h (273 mph). It also has the capability to accelerate from 0–200 km/h (0–124 mph) in 5.8 seconds and from 0–300 km/h (0–186 mph) in 12.1 seconds. The first car was delivered in April 2022.

  • The Chiron Pur Sport Grand Prix was announced in December 2021. It is the first project of Bugatti’s new ‘Sur Mesure’ (meaning tailored in French) customization program, so it is a one-off car.

  • The Chiron Profilée is a one-off special introduced in December 2022, based on a Chiron Pur Sport and it is the fastest-accelerating car of the Chiron range with a 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) of 2.3 seconds. 0–200 km/h (0–124 mph) takes 5.5 seconds and 0–300 km/h (0–186 mph) takes 12.4 seconds. Because of all 500 Chiron slots already being assigned; the project was canceled and only one was built. It's believed to be the last street-legal W16-powered car Bugatti sold, as the Chiron and the Mistral were already sold-out.

The Chiron's top speed is electronically limited to 420 km/h (261 mph), or 375–380 km/h (233–236 mph) for safety reasons, as there are no tyres currently manufactured that would be able to handle the stress at the top speed the Chiron is capable of achieving.

Recently Bugatti revealed a pair of bespoke Chiron Super Sports commissioned by a Tennessee couple to celebrate their shared passion for Bugatti. The theme was originally inspired by a Veyron owned by the couple, which blended Rosso Efesto (bright red) and Arancia Mira (vibrant orange) to create a similar design to Vagues de Lumiere. The orange one, Known as ‘Vagues de Lumiere’ (waves of light) for the way it reflects light and the ‘Coup de Foudre’, which can mean both ‘bolt of lightning’ or ‘love at first sight’.

Elsewhere, it's Brian Wong - as they took a quick spin in the $4.3 million Bugatti Chiron Super Sport. They found that, "On a public road you can't fully open up the taps for more than a few seconds because you reach extra-legal speeds so quickly. The Chiron Super Sport pulls and pulls with an ease that I've never experienced before, despite a hefty curb weight of around 4,400 pounds. It shoves you back into the seat but instead of letting up after that initial snap of acceleration it keeps you pinned there while the engine's roaring soundtrack pours on.".
